This is a first. For years FM DXers in New England dreamed of hearing FM from Newfoundland when tropo to New Brunswick or Nova Scotia filled their dials. It never happened.

It didn't happen until September 19th 2007, when Jeff Lehmann heard CIOZ in Marystown, NF during a super coastal tropo opening from the south shore of MA. This 847 mile reception is the first time anything from Newfoundland has been heard in Southern New England (or anywhere else, for that matter) by tropospheric ducting.
