WTFDA member Jeff Rostron of Springfield, MA logged WTWC-DT ch2 Tallahassee, FL during an evening skip opening on Saturday, February 9, 2008. Jeff captured about a minute of flawless video from WTWC-DT at a distance of 1,019 miles. To our knowledge this is the first ever report of any DTV station being seen in New England on channel 2 by E skip propagation.

Prior to this video reception Jeff had received the PSIP information from WTWC-DT on at least ten different occasions since June of 2006. This is his first complete decode.

Jeff's equipment consists of:

LG-LST351-A DTV Set Top Box

Winegard PR-5030 VHF antenna @ 12 feet above ground

CM Spartan 3 VHF/UHF Preamp

An ATI Wintv card was used to capture the image via an s-video input.

By the way, this reception was made with heavy snow falling and the outside temperature of 31 degrees F.
